Position: Garden Service Lead Gardener
Position Type: Full-Time, seasonal (May-October)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, some Saturdays possible during peak season.
Typical Start Time: 7:30 AM
Hourly Rate: $21-23/hour with overtime available
We are seeking a passionate experienced lead gardener to join our garden maintenance team. The position requires a good working knowledge of plant ID, garden maintenance procedures, understanding of current planting practice, proper pruning techniques and ability to lead a team. If you’re a dedicated, hardworking individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, we’d love to hear from you! Must be 18 years or older to apply.

What You’ll Do:
Lead Crew – Manage a garden crew of 2 or more crew members.
Driving – Must have a valid drivers license and be able to safely operate a mason dump truck.
Garden Maintenance –
You will demonstrate your high landscaping standards, attention to detail, and landscape knowledge with routine weekly property maintenance including weeding and pruning.
Oversee the maintenance and development of gardens and landscapes, ensuring optimal growth and health of plants.
Collaborate with Horticulture Manager – Work closely with Horticulture Manager to meet client expectations of routine service visits. Maintain and report on records including time and material from all jobs.
Stay Fit Outdoors – Build strength while working outdoors and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Handle heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of various gardening/landscaping equipment and materials. Work outside in all types of weather.
Professionalism – Maintain punctuality, a neat appearance, and positive communication with customers.
Logistics Support – Prepare, load, and unload trucks for daily tasks, maintaining the cleanliness of trucks and equipment. Keep landscaping tools, equipment, and materials organized.
Safety – Attend safety training and staff meetings as required, ensuring a secure and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:
Experience – 3+ years gardening experience, including planting, pruning, and weeding, is preferred. Experience in leadership positions is a plus.
Plant Knowledge – Plant identification skills are advantageous.
Team Player – Ability to work harmoniously as the lead of a team.
Positive Attitude – Good customer service skills and willingness to work long hours during the busy season.
Physical Strength – Capability to safely perform heavy lifting and carry up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license is required.
US work authorization is required.
